2D - Band Logo and Merch

Brief

For this project we were given a randomly generated name to create a bands visual identity including logo/mark and possible merch.

The name I was given is - Seven Stages of Graphic Grief

To start I sketched my initial ideas for the vibe of this band such as the type of music they play and what they would sell.

01/02/2024 - Type Workshop

In this workshop we were tasked with cutting out four shapes in different types/patterns of paper. Out of a square, triangle and circle we choose another shape to repeat and cut out twice in any size. Using these shapes we had to create the entire alphabet. I made multiple versions of a few of the letters in upper and lowercase.
I then remade the images in illustration to create my own font.
This inspired me to research typefaces for my band and make sure the one I choose matches the theme.

This is the first idea I had finalised for my logo, however it didn't have the right tone I was going for. It inspired si-fi and not metal.
