2026 Degree Show

Degree Show

The name of the 2026 Degree Show is Human Shaped!
Our show focuses on hand-made, human-led processes and outcomes, which is not supported by AI generated content. In a meeting, it was decided we would each create a shape and have these be our personal mascots for the show. These would be the foundation for the branding and placed around the studio.

My Contributions

In March, we had our headshots done for the Human Shaped instagram account.
The final layouts were put together by Holly, then posted by Katy.

My role with the show to start was to help with putting together cutouts of all our mascots. Myself, Ryan, Laura and Jess H, oversaw practice cuts of our shapes before they were laser cut to the size we needed to display around the studio.

I was in charge of the eyeballs!
Sanding, painting and sticking them together and to the shapes themselves once they were painted and dried completely, making sure they were as close as I could get them to the digital versions.

Each of us are responsible for how we display our own shapes!

A lot of us helped clean out the studio and moved desks to where they needed to be. We also painted the pillars the same colours as our mascots to brighten the studio! I mostly helped to move the desks, boards and I painted some of the white base coats and a couple of the walls that needed touching up.

My Display Prep

For my Cafe Brand, I did some screen printing at the workshop so I could hang them up.

My magazine was sent to be printed for a physical copy people could look through, and I also had a set of my playing cards printed to have these on my desk.

I borrowed the metal rail from the workshop to hang my tops so the front and back are visible, and printed a physical portfolio anyone could look through for my final display!
